Hello from Meemaw! I thought it was about time I took a shot at this and I'm even going to include a couple of pictures that I took today.
I enjoyed my day off very much here at Possum Cough. It was quiet and still all day and as often happens, I had the house completely quiet while I went about my day. I get so much more done when I don't have music or background noise going on but I do slow down every time I pass a window to see what might be outside. I think I expect to see a bear waving at me or a groundhog dancing. See, there was this huge groundhog that we passed on the way home from work when Peepaw and I carpool. He was sort of hidden just inside of a drive coming out of Gate City and Peepaw always saw him and I didn't. So I craned my head around every day to see if he was standing there and in my mind's eye, he was standing up on hind legs and dancing. Sadly, we think we saw him laying dead in the road some days later. No more dancing for that little guy.
I think about all of you every day and pray for your safety and health. For Jason, Karen, and baby girls, I know y'all might be having some nasty weather. As long as it's not too severe, I'm sure you are enjoying the rain. Maybe Texas will get a taste of it and give relief to Joshua and Mollie as you travel this weekend.
I'll close with a picture I took this afternoon of the 21 cows resting under the pine tree. We miss them when they aren't there every day. The white one is Flossie and the little calf with a white face is her baby, Flower.
