MeeMaw and I are just back from a pre-dawn deer sighting. We crept out with all the house lights off, eased our way up the embankment to the south pasture fenceline...and there they were. We hadn't been there more than a couple of seconds when one of them sounded a very sinus-infectionesque snort and they all took to their heels. The whole experience lasted only a minute, but it was exciting nonetheless. Starting the day with a sense of wonder is wise, I think.
